This research focuses on automatic speech recognition for native and non-native Finnish speakers, including other related tasks associated with natural language processing. The goal is to design automatic speech recognition models aligned with the relevant target groups, using essential datasets: audio, speaker backgrounds (native language, gender), and transcriptions.

All personal data is essential for the study objectives. During analysis, data processing ensures participant unidentifiability by substituting direct identifiers, such as names, with random alternatives. Scientific publications disclose no identities.

Research data containing personal information will not be transferred outside the EU/EEA or to international organisations.
Personal data is processed in secure, Aalto University-approved IT systems, protected by unique usernames and strong passwords. Only research team members and necessary personnel access the data.
Research data is retained for further scientific research in the same or supporting disciplines. Data is deleted five (5) years after the final publication in which it was used.

Limitation note: When the research no longer requires identification and the data can no longer be associated with an individual, rights regarding access, correction, objection, and deletion may be restricted. Providing additional identifying information can restore these rights.
